Q: What is the cost to enter the tournament?
A: The entry fee is $300.00 per boat, which includes 4 anglers, 4 angler t-shirts, 1 captain’s t-shirt and 4 award dinner tickets
Q: How Much does each angler pay to enter the tournament?
A: It depends on how many people enter. Here’s an example based on a 5 woman crew

Q: What is a Calcutta?
A: A calcutta is an optional side bet. Our tournament has 2. (If anglers opt not to enter the calcutta they should let their captain know)
- Captain’s single heaviest fish – winner takes all ($100.00 to enter)
- Boats with the total three heaviest fish combined – split 50%-30%-20% ($100.00 to enter)
If the anglers opt not to enter the calcutta, they should let their captains know.
Q: What do I bring/wear on fish day?
A: Sunscreen, rain jacket, towels, bathing suit, shorts. Depending on the weather, it is a fun day on the water and in the sun!
Q: What about lunch, beverages, and snacks for the boat?
A: Usually the anglers pick a team captain among themselves who is responsible for collecting the money, contact information and purchasing the food. Lunches for the boat captain and first mate are ordinarily supplied by the anglers
Q: Who pays for the fuel if I am not on my own boat?
A: Check with your captain, some supply it. Otherwise its the angler’s responsibility.
Q: Do I need to bring a fishing rod or any other fishing equipment?
A: No, the boat captain supplies all materials necessary to fish. Check with him about bringing ice.
Q: How long does the banquet last?
A: Cocktails begin at 5:30 PM, with dinner following at 7:00 PM. During the event we will give out door prizes, hold our Bluefish Auction and listen to the guest speaker. Tournament awards are presented and the dinner is typically over between 10-10:30 PM. Comfortable, causal dress is fine.
Q: Can I buy extra dinner tickets?
A: YES! They are $45.00 each. The anglers usually pay for the captain and the first mate’s tickets. Spouse, family and friends are welcome. Tickets must be purchased by the close of the captains meeting (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Q: What are the seating arrangements at the banquet?
A: Tables of 12 on a first come first serve basis.
