Dear Sponsors, Captains, Anglers and Volunteers:

Welcome once again to the Annual Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament.  I write this letter with a sense of reassurance, hope and gratitude for success in our 25th year.

The trying economic times have continued into 2009 and many of us have been personally affected.  The Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament has also felt the effects of the economy and each day we are faced with many challenges.

Even though we experienced a slight decrease in 2008, the spirit behind this event remained high.  We had an impressive 68 boats and 348 anglers, raised $60,000 and provided mammograms to more than 267 women.  The economic crisis has inspired the committee to develop new relationships with local businesses, expand the tournament to a 4th weigh station and participate in additional community events in an effort to support our cause “Girls Fishing for a Cure”.

As a supporter of the Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament, your generosity and compassion are deeply appreciated by the committee but even more so by those who truly need your help.

On behalf of the Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament, please accept our gratitude  for your continued support over the past 25 years.  With your assistance, we can look forward to a promising future.

Sponsors, Captains, Anglers and Volunteers, please mark your calendars.  The 26th Annual LIBT fishing date is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2010.  The banquet will be held on Sunday, June 20, 2010.
